Important Dates for Summer 2024
Welcome to SCA Summer camp! This program is for school aged children starting from Kindergarten until 12 years of age. If your child is able to attend our summer camp program, they are guaranteed to have days filled with fun! Each week is built around a theme, like construction, mad scientist, sports, space, little bakers, etc. Every day will have something for your child to look forward to like cooking opportunities, field trips, science experiments, art projects, acts of kindness, waterplay, messy activities, group games, park visits and so much more. While having fun is so important, teaching kindness, improving problem-solving skills, and having time to learn about God will also be a top priority. We work hard to keep these kids moving, learning, playing and going on adventures. We expect kindness, good sportsmanship, good manners and respect in return. | Theme Activity & Lesson | Olympic Word Search Olympic Bingo Cheese Puff Javelin Throw – how many can you get to stick to another person’s head (with shower cap and shaving cream on top) Take the Plunge – Row the Boat (use plungers and scooter – team race) First person site on the scooter and has to use the plunger to “row” themselves to the end of the set area and back to the next team member – the first team to finish wins! |

| Thankful Thursday (Act of Service Creation and activity) | Create kindness rocks to lay around at Homer Lake – can lay them around the play area or on your trail walk |
| Fly Somewhere Friday | History of the Olympics – read the story of the first olympics |
| Movie Options | Cool Runnings, Mighty Ducks, Space Jam, Raising the Bar, Angels in the Outfield, Soul Surfer, Teen Beach Movie |
